Dermatopathology Fellowship

Our laboratory processes over 25,000 skin biopsies and excisions per year.

The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine - Scott & White Dermatopathology Fellowship in Temple, TX, is a one-year program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and offers advanced training in all aspects of diagnostic dermatopathology.

Our program is designed to prepare fellows to qualify and successfully complete the American Board of Pathology and American Board of Dermatology subspecialty board examination in Dermatopathology.

We accept one fellow per year.

Curriculum

Our dermatopathology fellowship is organized into three rotations: dermatopathology service rotation, clinical dermatology rotation and surgical pathology and cytopathology rotation.

Fellows devote the afternoons to the dermatopathology rotation, where they have the opportunity to study a diverse mix of cases drawn from Baylor Scott & White dermatology clinics throughout Central Texas.

During the initial eight months of training, fellows dedicate mornings to either clinical dermatology or surgical pathology, depending on whether they have completed residency training in dermatology or in pathology. All rotations take place at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple.

  • Train at one of U.S. News & World Report's top hospitals in Texas

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is a 640-bed teaching and research hospital with a Level I trauma center.
