Course Description
The goal of this rotation is to provide the medical student with an intensive introduction to the field of EM.
Students will have the opportunity to evaluate patients in the emergency room setting with a variety of diseases and refine their medical knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose, manage, and treat patients who are acutely ill or injured. Emphasis is placed on the evaluation of the undifferentiated patient.
Students interested in a career in emergency medicine should take this course early in their fourth year of medical school.

- Clinical Work (shifts in Emergency Department)
- Attending workshops
- Attending weekly resident conference
