Nephrology

The multidisciplinary team at Baylor Scott & White Health utilizes our electronic medical record (EMR) system to coordinate your patients’ kidney care.

Baylor Scott & White offers your patients with chronic kidney diseases access to personalized treatments across a continuum of care that includes nephrology as well as hemodialysis clinics throughout Central Texas.

In addition to intermittent hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for patients with end-stage renal disease, we also have expertise in treating complicated hypertension and managing acid-base and electrolyte disorders.

Services

Some of our expert services include:

  • Inpatient and outpatient hemodialysis
  • Citrate anticoagulation for a no-heparin dialysis
  • Renal biopsy
  • Continuous arterio-venous hemofiltration (CAVH) for acute renal failure
  • Plasmapheresis

For advanced kidney disease, Baylor Scott & White offers kidney transplantation at three locations in Central and North Texas.

And, because we understand living with kidney disease can be overwhelming for your patients, some of our locations offer a physician-referral based education program to help your patients understand management and treatment options.
