Residents are required to obtain certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BCLS and ACLS) prior to beginning training at Baylor University Medical Center. Recertification during training is paid by Baylor University Medical Center.

Engagement Opportunities

We value feedback from our residents and fellows throughout their training – and beyond.

That's why we created the Housestaff Council, a representative committee that exchanges ideas to promote excellence in the training programs here. We encourage participation and welcome trainee suggestions and comments.
